Re-engage 
Re-engage is a program designed to help children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) re-engage with learning through structured boxing and martial arts sessions. Coaching is delivered on a 1-1 basis with the student and a qualified Re-engage coach. The program aims to enhance focus, develop skills, and support children in reaching their full potential by implementig a trauma informed approach to students.
The key components of Re-engage are:
1. Holistic Approach:
   - Integrating physical activities with cognitive and social skill development.
   - Emphasizing the connection between physical well-being and academic performance.
2. Qualified Instructors:
   - Certified boxing and martial arts coaches with experience in working with children with ALN.
   - Special education professionals to assist in tailoring sessions to individual needs.
   -All coaches are fully DBS checked
3. Individualized Plans:
   - Initial assessments to understand each child's needs, strengths, and areas for improvement.
   - Customized training plans that align with the child's educational and personal development goals.

 

 

Additional program features include:
1. Cross-Disciplinary Activities:
   - Incorporating educational content into physical activities (e.g., counting punches, following complex sequences).
   - Linking martial arts principles to academic subjects (e.g., geometry in movement patterns, geography in the origin of various martial arts and the history of martial arts).
2. Social Skill Building:
   - Group exercises to foster teamwork, communication, and social interaction.
3. Parental Involvement:
   - Regular updates and online feedback with parents (or teachers) to track progress.
4. Progress Tracking:
   - Regular assessments to measure improvements in focus, behavior, and academic performance.
   - Adaptation of training plans based on progress and changing needs.
